About

My education began with a degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.  My practical experience then followed while working as a design engineer for large structural engineering design firms in Los Angeles and San Diego, California, on interesting and high profile commercial and industrial building design throughout the state.  This then included some experience in the complete design and construction of residential structures.  

My experience next drew me to invent a structural building product to which I was awarded United States patents.  I enjoyed the opportunity to develop, manufacture and sell the unique structural product throughout the United States.  

Over the past decade, I have built a forensic engineering business throughout the western United States.  I have worked with all types of damage investigation.  Some of these investigations range from remote locations in Idaho and Montana, to landslides in Washington state, tree impacts in Oregon, wildfire, smoke damage, and mudslides in California, volcano and wind damage in Hawaii, and earthquakes in Alaska and California.

I have enjoyed training and managing engineers in Forensic Engineering, and teaching classes in Earthquake and Smoke Damage investigation among other forensic topics.  I enjoy challenging questions and have learned that proper application of scientific principles and integrity, have always allowed me to provide meaningful assistance to my clients.

The forensic findings I have provided have weathered many professional and legal challenges in high profile cases, and in the rare instance that a case has required court testimony, the outcomes have always been successful for our clients.
